I remember when I graduated from high school I had signed up to go to Ohlone College, which I never started till years later. But the school was small and it was on Washington Blvd. I believe it’s a church now. That was in 1972.
While attending Ohlone I accomplished getting two AA degrees because a counselor made a mistake. I took business classes at night while working full-time. I interviewed for a job at the Alameda County Housing Authority as Housing Inspector and I got the job, which I’m very proud of. I’ve been there 17 years now. That’s what perseverance will do for you!!
I remember going out on a boat in the bay for one of my classes. After stressing so much I’d get seasick I was just fine and I had a great time. I also remember one night I found a dead bat by the bookstore and I believe they thought it was rabid.
