Cynthia Luckoski was hired as a full-time faculty member of the Art Department in September 1974 and retired in May 2010, after 36 years of dedicated and accomplished service. Upon retirement, she was granted Emeritus status.
Cynthia demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and expertise in establishing and continually developing the ceramics, glass and graphic arts / computer graphics programs. She was a passionate and dedicated teacher in these programs, diligently serving thousands of students. The graphic arts / computer graphics program was a leading occupational program at the college and paved the way for the Multimedia Studies program.
Cynthia dedicated herself to the continued success of the Art department through her contributions to curriculum development, strategic planning and support of the adjunct faculty. She served the college on the Computer and Multimedia committees to develop a new Pentium lab and new joint Art and Computer Science vocational program in Multimedia.
Cynthia is a recognized children’s book author for a book that she wrote and illustrated on the computer.
Cynthia was an inspiring colleague, sharing her knowledge of curriculum and program development with her wit and good humor.
