Eleene Kraft was hired to work in the Word Processing Department in December 1981. She retired from that position in November 2002, after 21 years of dedicated service. Upon her retirement, she was granted Emeritus status.
Eleene was an extremely dedicated employee and was instrumental in the accurate maintenance of the Ohlone College curriculum course outlines, faculty syllabi, accreditation self-studies and many other documents integral to institutional integrity.
Eleene faithfully performed her duties in a professional, courteous and self-effacing manner and all found it a pleasure to work with her. She worked diligently to meet deadlines, resolved difficult situations and reassured colleagues. She brought grace and humility to her position that touched nearly everyone on campus
Eleene maintained an excellent attendance record and worked beyond her normal hours to meet the needs of faculty and staff. Her dependability, loyalty and dedication to Ohlone College were renowned, setting a standard for others to follow.
Her smile was infectious and her charm was simple yet sophisticated. Eleene’s respect among colleagues was unquestioned and her joy in serving others was always evident.
