Miloslava “Milos” Collins was hired in September 1968 and retired in June 1993, after 25 years of dedicated service. Upon her retirement, she was granted Emeritus status.
Milos was one of the pioneer faculty members on the Serra Campus off Washington Avenue in Fremont. She was the first full-time foreign language instructor and played a significant role in establishing the German and French instructional programs for the college. She was involved in the planning and then move to the permanent campus on Mission Boulevard in 1974.
Milos was a dedicated teacher who was committed to the success of her students. She demonstrated dignity and integrity throughout her tenure as an educator.
