Paul Halula was hired in September 1974 and retired in June 1996, after 22 years of dedicated service. Upon his retirement, he was granted Emeritus status.
Paul was a versatile instructor spanning the disciplines between academics and occupational education by teaching a variety of courses in psychology and business management. He was an able coach and advisor to students. He used his applied behavioral science skills and abilities to assist adult students with significant problems in their personal lives, college classes, and career employment situations.
Paul established effective liaisons between college instructional programs, local business industry and governmental employers by coordinating efforts of Cooperative Education students. He also designed, developed, presented and evaluated a training program for Driver Education Instructors, which became a model in the state of California.
Paul participated fully and shared governance activities of the college by serving as Vice President of the Faculty Senate.
