It is Ohlone College’s mission to respond to the educational needs of the diverse community and economy. This section features some of the current programs and services offered to support student learning and academic success.
The A2Pi Launchpad Learning Community is primarily directed towards African American, Pacific Island and Hispanic students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) careers, with a focus on Engineering.
Ohlone Math Gateway
The OMG Program is an accelerated math program for Engineering and Bio-Engineering students at Ohlone. Enrolled students will take two full semester length classes in one semester along with other engineering related courses.
The Puente Project is a transfer program, consisting of three components: English, Counseling, and Mentoring. The Project also offers leadership development, enrichment opportunities, and ongoing support.
The Umoja Student Success Program is dedicated to enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African American and other students. It is believe that when the voices and histories of students are deliberately and intentionally recognized, the opportunity for self-efficacy emerges and a foundation is formed for academic success.
Veterans Resources Center
As part of their successful educational journey, it is the aim of the Veterans Resources Center to offer Ohlone student veterans a place to:
- help ease the transition from military to civilian to school with support from fellow veterans
- create camaraderie
- access campus resources
- access VA educational and health resources
- participate in veteran-centered activities
